Recipe: Perfect Aussie BBQ Steaks
Recipe Ingredients:
- Porterhouse or Scotch fillet steaks
- Australian Smoky BBQ seasoning
Method:
- Generously rub the Australian Smoky BBQ seasoning onto the steaks, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the steaks to marinate for at least an hour to let the flavors develop.
- Preheat your grill to high heat until it reaches a red-hot temperature. This is essential for achieving the perfect sear.
- Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for approximately 4 to 5 minutes on the first side. This will create a golden brown crust with a slight char.
- Flip the steaks over and continue grilling for:
- 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare (internal temperature of 55 - 60 degrees Celsius)
- 5 to 7 minutes for medium (internal temperature of 60 - 65 degrees Celsius)
- 8 to 10 minutes for medium-well (internal temperature of 66 - 69 degrees Celsius)
- Once cooked to your preference, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a tender and juicy result.
- Serve the steaks with your favourite side dishes and enjoy the mouthwatering flavors of an Aussie BBQ right at home.
